Wednesday Walks

The park is a wooded hillside within the City of Waterloo. Steep topography on the west side of the park levels out at the top of the hill where 22 Indian Mounds are found. The woods include oak, hickory, maple and cherry species.

The “Wednesday Walks” program offers a wonderful way to get fresh air, feel the sun, exercise, meet new people, and enjoy many unique attractions in Jefferson County. Each trip is at a different location, and includes a walk and an optional lunchtime meal at one of Jefferson’s county senior dining sites.

* ARRIVE BY: 9:00 AM for all Wednesday Walks * MEET AT: the main parking lot in each park.

 *TO REGISTER: Call Jefferson County Mobility Manager at least 2 days in advance at: 920-675-4049 .

 *NEED A RIDE?: Call Jefferson County Mobility Manager at least 2 days in advance at: 920-675-4049.


 Walks will be cancelled in the case of inclement weather. There is no cost to walk.

 Lunch (optional) at a meal site is planned following each walk for a suggested donation of $4.00 for age 60+ or a donation of $14.36 if under age 60. Dress for weather and wear comfortable shoes.

 Walks take place only on the dates identified in this flyer.
